EMPEZAMOS LA ULTIMA SEMANA DE MI NIÑEZ ("We started the last week of my childhood", which perhaps means her training is almost finished:)

Hola! This week was good, I feel very much accustomed to and am enjoying the mission life. Last week Hna Platino helped me make the same decision that Pres Hinckley made on his mission, to forget himself and get to work. I committed (better late than never) to really give my all every day, in every study, every lesson, physically and spiritually. It has really made a difference.

3 weekly highlights-

1 Paola (Nicole's mom) and her family are going through some rough times, we were able to visit her with our district leader and they gave her and her mom priesthood blessings. It was a really sweet experience. I felt so strongly that they are daughters of Heavenly Father and have so much potential because of this! Keep them in your prayers, and especially that Paola can have the strength to close her little store on Sundays so she can come to church. They are in a tight spot financially but she knows she will receive blessings for doing it.

2 We are teaching a 16 yr old girl named Liza and she is progressing so much! She is really excited about everything and fulfills her commitments that we leave her and she came to church yesterday! We are working with  her to be able to be baptized 13 of Dec.

3 Yesterday before leaving the pension Hna Platino prayed that we would be able to find a family. Later on we were walking and I remembered a man I had seen in the corner of my eye outside his house a few blocks back and felt like we should go back. Whenever I have these impractical thoughts it's hard to know if it's just a random thought or if it is the Spirit, you just have to act and by the results you will know it was really the Spirit. We went back and his wife let us in and we taught a lesson to her and their 4 kids, it was really a good experience. We will keep visiting them and see how it goes! Keep them in your prayers too (Familia Diaz).

 Hi Mom, love you! Got your letter today. Thanks! We don't have time today because we went to the teleférico - you can google it, I will send pics next week hopefully if I have time! Sorry I don't have time but all is well, we are alive and breathing and missioning. Hope you have a great week!

That's awesome you got to see Jon race in Clovis! Congrats on the PR Jon! Also that's cool you recorded a song all legit-like, I look forward to hearing it one day!

Our primary program was this week too!! And guess who played the piano, yours truly! It turned out decently, no one got mad at me at least, haha.

This week we had interviews with Pres Chaparro [her mission president]. He is such a good and inspired man, you can just feel it when he looks at you that he has such a strong and good spirit. He helped me a lot.

The Aguero family came to church yesterday, but please pray that we will know what to do with them, what we need to teach them to help them progress more and understand the importance of it all. We have been teaching a 16- yr-old girl named Liza who is so great, she already prayed about the Book of Mormon and knows it's true, and she accepts all our invitations before we even finish the question! She just needs to come to church. Please pray that our investigators will be able to come to church this week.

Learned a lot about patience this week.

Last Monday we bought a little Christmas tree and made a paper chain counting down the days til Christmas, also we bought a playground ball and I taught Hna Platino how to play Kill (it's not as violent as it sounds) so that adds some fun to the mish life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!!! [Spiritual lessons]

Wow I had so much to say this week but I am desperately short on time!!!!

First of all thanks everyone for the emails and such, hope everyone is doing well!

I am learning so much, but there are 2 things in particular that I learned this week that I want to share. First, when we feel like God isn't answering our prayers, remember that our faith must be in Jesus Christ, not in results. Faith that He knows everything and knows what is best for us and for others, and just to trust in Him that everything will work out for the best. The 2nd thing I learned is the spiritual power that comes with fasting. Saturday evening was the most amazing experience. We felt the Spirit so much when we taught and felt we really had power and authority and protection. I wish I could tell more detailed stories but I don't have time, but moral of the story, the church is true!!! I know I am in the Lord's work and in the best mission in the world - the mission of saving souls! Love you all mucho!

My new favorite scripture - 2 Nefi 26:24 ["He [Jesus Christ] doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him.  Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation."]
